The preparation of this project is financed in part through: cooperation with the Micihgan Department of Transportation, Urban Mass Transportation Administration; the Federal Highway Administration, and the participation of the Michigan State Transportation Commission; or a planning grant from the environmental Protection Agency.  This project is being prepared in 2009 for the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.

 
 
 SOUTH GRATIOT

Because Gratiot Avenue takes a different character as one travels from end to end, traversing urbanized, suburban and rural communities, that group was split into two Sub-Committees, one for the northern communities and one for the southern communities. Both Committees will interact throughout the project, but because the development and land use patterns in each segment are different they require different approaches and recommendations.

This page will be dedicated to information, meetings, and updates on the south segment (see links below).  Key dates are listed on the right, including a link to sign up for e-alerts when meetings are scheduled or changed.
