The preparation of this project is financed in part through: cooperation with the Micihgan Department of Transportation, Urban Mass Transportation Administration; the Federal Highway Administration, and the participation of the Michigan State Transportation Commission; or a planning grant from the environmental Protection Agency.  This project is being prepared in 2009 for the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.


 
 
PROJECT TEAM

The Gratiot Avenue Access Management Program project involves the entire length of Gratiot Avenue within the limits of Macomb County, Michigan.  In recognition of the scope of the study area and the many interrelated jurisdictions and stakeholders, the project team consists of representatives from several agencies, including:

SEMCOG (Southeast MI Council of Governments)

MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation )

Macomb County Planning

RCMC (Road Commission of Macomb County)

SMART (Suburban Mobility Auth. for Regional Trans.)

RTCC (Regional Trans. Coordinating Council )

In addition, the project team includes representatives from all nine communities, listed below, based on which segment they fall into:

South Gratiot Access Management Plan
City of Eastpointe
