Like many other downtowns in Michigan, Downtown Wayne has experienced increasing competition from regional malls, freeways, and auto-oriented development.

The city retained LSL Planning team of experts to conduct a detailed market analysis and several workshops and open houses to create a realistic plan for restoring Downtown Wayne and creating unique destination to draw customers and residents from across the area. Innovative recommendations on parking redesign, transportation solutions, circulation plans and building character and form were packaged into a prioritized plan for implementation.

LSL used 3-D modeling to simulate concepts and recommendations for several key sites, and vivid graphics to illustrate the vision for Wayne’s future.
